Formerly Senior Security Manager for RSA Insurance for 15 years with responsibilities that included: people, premises and asset security. Following qualification and working in mechanical engineering and pursuing a full career in the armed forces under different cap badges, I have worked in security and risk for 37 years within many different countries and industries, being involved with: oil & gas, gold mining, royalty protection, consultancy, List X and government R&D, vetting, telecoms and financial services. I remain a Fellow of The Security Institute and continue as an active participant of their Validation Board. Started in farm labouring, and gardening in a privately-owned stately home. Became a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in 2022.
