Bio

I have been an advisor with NatWest Group's Physical Security Team for over 11 years, helping to deliver a range of high-quality services across multiple projects, engagements and business areas in order to safeguard our people, customers, information and assets.

I am very passionate about Personal Safety and recognise the need for increased education and awareness around this subject. My current role now focuses on this including regular delivery of webinars & presentations and posting guidance articles on our internal social media platform.

I have recently started delivering CPNI's SCaN "All Staff" module with very positive results and I am now looking to produce a follow up module to this.

Prior to joining NatWest, I served as a Police Officer for almost 25 years, firstly with The Ministry of Defence Police and then with The City of London Police. My final 5 years of service was spent working within the Counter Terrorism & Special Branch Department.

I had a number of different roles within both Police Services, including Counter Terrorism Security Advisor, Architectural Liaison Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, Community Beat Officer to name a few.

In my joint role as Counter Terrorism Security Advisor & Architectural Liaison Officer I provided Counter Terrorism Security advice and guidance to a wide range of City businesses as well as supporting Government on the protection of Critical National Infrastructure and Crowded Places. In addition to this, I provided security advice to the Corporation of London Planning Department in respect of planning applications for buildings within City of London.

I gained many skills within these roles including Crime Prevention (CPTED) and Counter Terrorism Awareness & Guidance, Risk Assessments & Security Surveys, Delivering Presentations (Project Argus, Project Griffin), Security / Personal Safety Education & Awareness, Problem Solving, Report Writing and Drugs & Violence Awareness.
