I served 20 years as a police officer in the British Transport Police. I left in June 2022 to start my own training company, GSG Solutions Group. My staff are also serving or ex UK police officers.
I also founded the Security Industry federation, a trade union for the UK security industry.
I was a frontline officer for much of my service, dealing with major criminal investigations as well as policing sporting events such as the London Olympics. I was a specialist school liaison officer for 19 years. I was a POLSA search Team Leader and Trauma Risk Incident Manager (TRiM) and carried out trauma support for the Manchester Arena and London Bridge terror attacks.
I became a qualified mentor and Professional Development Officer (PDO) and for several years tutored student officers in frontline uniform policing in London.
I ended my career in policing as a Cyber Protect Officer and specialist Digital trainer, teaching officers how to use police digital systems such as DEMS and Niche. I became a Niche expert and held administrator privileges. I completed my Level 3 in AET and currently enrolled in Level 5.
As a Cyber Protect Officer I taught cyber awareness and cyber investigation to recruits and staff of all levels.
